About

I took my first photographs at the age of 9 with a Kodak Brownie 127 Camera in Sri Lanka where I was born and spent most of my childhood.

After my education in Ireland and working in a book shop, I moved to Canada In 1971 where I took a course in motion picture film making in Toronto and for the next seven years I worked in film post production including a sound studio. The final six years I spent in the film editing department of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation

On my return to Ireland in 1979 I worked as a film editor on TV commercials documentaries & corporate films.

In 1983 my photographs were first published in 'The Irish Heritage Series' by Eason & Son Ltd. Dublin. After this I became involved in commercial photography which included studio portraits, product shots and photographing for trade magazines and occasional wedding photography.

I shoot film as well as digital.
