I took my first photographs at the age of 9 with a Kodak Brownie 127 Camera in Sri Lanka where I spent my childhood.

After my education in Ireland I moved to Toronto Canada In 1971 where I studied 'Film and it's technique'.

For seven years in Toronto I worked in TV and film post production, six of them in the film editing department of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation

Returning to Ireland in 1979 I worked as a film editor on documentaries TV commercials & corporate films.

In 1983 my photographs were published in 'The Irish Heritage Series' by Eason & Son Ltd. Dublin. This led to work in commercial photography; studio portraits, product shots and trade magazines.
